We have a new face at the tasting room, Welcome Hendrik Fourie, who brings nearly two decades of winery and hospitality experience to our team. Hendrik is eager to make you feel at home in our beautiful tasting room.

Vineyard techie stuff:
At the onset of summer, the buds begin producing ‘inflorescences’, or flower clusters, which will eventually bloom. These flowers are known as ‘perfect flowers’, (I love that term as I already think they are always perfect!) as they pollinate themselves without the need for bees.
As the fertilized ovary develops, it produces green berries in a process known as fruit set.
December the young grapes begin to swell and grow. At this stage our vines are 'topped' to improve air circulation around the grapes and thus minimize the risk of fungus or rot.
Good weather has played along,rain to keep the roots moist and the cool Botrivier summer coastal wind has started up to provide coolness on hot days approaching.

What else has happened this year.
Highlight sales were… we’ve arrived in USA baby! Yes it’s big and we’re super proud of Peter of Culture wines. He calls us bad ass but when I’ve looked at the sales I think he’s bad ass.. Need bubbly USA ? Netherlands Vin Vin has kept all things classy and I just keep thinking of the 2025 marketing trip that is going to be show stopper.
Local sales are always great SO a big thank you to you for finding a reason or absolutely no reason to open a bottle of Genevieve , Nkosi, thank you , dankie baie!
2025 is peaking at us round the corner, lets gather ourselves , celebrate ourselves and show our love to our special people.
